Disneyland Adventure

Mom and Larry on Main Street

We survived a trip with 17 people to Disneyland! Thank you to Mom and Larry for sending all of our family to the happiest place on earth (also the most expensive place on earth). We had a great time with enjoying the sights and sounds of Disneyland for 3 days. We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and everyone had a room next to each other. As far as what we did each day, it is becoming a blur so I had better hurry up and write it down. I had the following goals for the trip:

*eat a frozen chocolate covered banana
*go on the Indian Jones ride and Splash Mountain with Lucas
*eat more junk food
*spend my Disney birthday money (Disneyland is a pretty cool place to be on your birthday)

I suceeded in all.
The junk food was plentiful and the rides a blast. Disneyland is definitely a place for adults to have a good time. We even had to settle a debate about the "Indian Jones" ride....boulder or no boulder. Half of us didn't see the giant boulder that comes at you at the very end a.k.a the best part of the ride. The believers were shocked at those not seeing the 30 ft. boulder coming at you. Katie (non believer) and I (believer) had to do the ride again just to prove them wrong.
For my birthday I was lucky enough to spend $69 at any of the Disney shops. Alcohol, cigarettes and food were excluded...bummer. I decided to go with a beautiful bright green Fairy costume and wand for Eliza. She is terrified of it and has yet to try it on and the sparkles are falling off all over. Oh well, I tried. Nothing is perfect, even in Disneyland.
