2 1/2 year Milestones

As Eliza is growing up I have noticed the big milestones are spread further and further out. Trust me, I am amazed at how fast she is growing up, but there just are not as many things to document. Today my friends reminded me that I need to write down some of the funny things she has been telling me. Those are milestones for sure.

Eliza before bed: "I NOT go nigh-night"
Me after waking her up in the morning: "I thought you weren't going to go nigh-night?"
Eliza: "I NOT go nigh-night!"
Me: "O.K. so what did you do all night?"
Eliza: "I played."
Me: "What did you play?"
Eliza: "I play with Ashley (who is my friend)".

Milestone: Lying to your parents about what you did last night
If you see Eliza driving around in the middle of the night please tell her to go home and go to bed.

2. While out at lunch today Eliza started picking at a crayon to break it apart instead of coloring with it. I told her to stop picking at it. She sat back further in the chair with the crayon and quietly looked at me. When I looked over at her ready to catch her picking at it again she pushed my cheek with her hand and said "Look away momma."

Milestone: Out of sight, out of mind

3. I had just woken Eliza up this morning and as she lay in her bed I bent over into her closet to pick out her shoes.

Eliza: "Cute buns"
Me: "Who are you talking to?"
Eliza: "Cute buns momma."

Milestone: Giving complements
With how my body is changing and growing lately I will definitely take a complement when one comes my way.
