Happy Father's Day!

Lucas's father's day wish this year was for all of us to go fishing on the Owyhee River just across the Oregon border. I was excited to go since I had never been fishing there, but a bit anxious to see how a "very 2 year old" toddler would do. She did awesome!
The Owyhee River has become a very popular place in recent years unfortunately, but I can see why with the beautiful red canyon walls, wildlife, slower moving water and BIG brown trout! It was torturous for both Lucas and I to watch these huge trout rise and feed in front of us without being able to land a single one! Beyond aggravating! Even the pelican fishing by us tried unsuccessfully so I didn't feel as bad. What a great afternoon outing with the family though. We were able to show Eliza some wildlife that have only existed as a picture in her favorite books. A deer for "Bambi" and a family of raccoons from "Pocahantas". What a classroom we live in:)

Ready for anything

Our first children. This is a classic picture of Henry and Murphy. Henry will always look you in the eyes but Murphy never will look directly at you. Power struggles at its best.
