San Francisco here we come

We leave to San Francisco on Monday for our trip to the MS center! I met with my neurologist, Dr. Lindholm today to evaluate my current condition and how I am feeling after being on the medication for 7 weeks. I haven't had any major side effects and I am on the full dose now! The doctor said that is pretty rare for her patients and that I shouldn't have any problems from now on. The last leg/arm spasm I had was just over a month ago and she thinks they should mostly go away. They did a blood draw to see how my liver is tolerating the meds. and we should know the results tomorrow. The plan is still to have another MRI in May unless the specialist wants it earlier. We are anxious to hear what Dr. Goodin has to say on Tuesday.

After my appointment I had to pick up a CD with my MRI scans and also request records from my dermatologist to take with me and see if there are any relations to the skin problem I have had for 9 years and MS. All of this made me think about the reality of my situation again. It is surreal to think I have a problem that requires me to have a neurologist and brain scans. Many, many emotions to deal with...then I realize how fortunate I am to be as healthy and active as I am today. Things could be much worse.
As for the MS walk coming up in April, I have been so overwhelmed by the amount of support we have received. Thank you! If you still haven't registered for the walk please do so we can make sure we have enough thank you gifts for everyone:)

Thank you so much to Ashley for watching Eliza today, Grandma Doris and my mom for watching her while we are in SF. I am excited to have a mini-vacation with Lucas and to see our friends Stacie and Jeff.

Eliza has reached the 20 month mark and continues to keep me going in more ways than one each day.
I ask her this question each day which cracks me up (pause the music at the top to hear the audio) :

Good luck in SF. I love the video of Eliza. It cracks me up that she pauses for a moment to consider your question. Love it!
